BEACON RIDGE LADIES GOLF ASSOCIATION

2017 Beacon Ridge Ladies Golf Association Board of Directors from back to front and left to right:  Linda Dunning – President / Clara Karnish – Tournament Chair / Nita Hartless – Vice President / Sarah Abbott – Secretary / Terry Rudziensky – Tournament Chair / Linda Swensen – Treasurer

The Beacon Ridge Ladies Golf Association (BRLGA) is an 18-hole women’s golf association that plays on Tuesday mornings. The BRLGA members play year round with their “formal season” starting in February. Annual Membership dues are $50. New members may join on a non pro-rated basis any time during the year and are immediately eligible for all events.

Tuesday Tee times are set at 8:00 am during the summer; 8:30 in the fall; and 9:30 in the winter months.   Sign up in the Pro Shop during summer and fall play.  No sign up is necessary during the winter when members are simply encouraged to show up if they want to play. Teams are made up the morning of play so advance notice to the pro shop is not necessary.

The BRLGA plays a variety of games throughout the season that consist of both individual play and a variety of team games and matches.  The first Tuesday of every month is a qualifying round for The Beacon Cup.  Monthly winners qualify for the Beacon Cup Tournament at the end of the season.

Other fun events planned by the BRLGA include:

  • Buddy Tournament, April
  • Member/Guest Day, May
  • 18-Hole Ladies Championship, September
  • President’s Cup, October

For additional information about the BRLGA, contact Linda Dunning.

2017 BRLGA Member-Guest Tournament

On May 2nd, the Beacon Ridge Ladies Golf Association held their annual Member-Guest Tournament entitled “A League of Our Own: Sisters in Golf.” This year’s theme honored all the women throughout golf’s history who overcome many obstacles to play golf. Women’s golf would not be what it is today without their sacrifices and achievements. Many of the BRLGA members and guests wore retro golf attire to celebrate this event.
